Park Royal Choir (PRC) is the main choir of Park Royal United Church, a vibrant Christian community committed to deep spirituality, bold discipleship, and daring justice — nurturing a world where all can thrive through spiritual connection, community, and outreach.
The choir is led by Music Director Andrea Ellis, with pianist Sharon Cameron.
What does the choir involve?
Rehearsals
Thursdays, 6:30–8:00 PM starting September 17!
Sunday Services
Sundays at 10:30 AM The choir helps support services and typically sings a featured anthem every 2–3 weeks. Sunday attendance is not required every week. When the choir is singing a featured anthem, members are encouraged to prioritize being there. We usually gather at 9:45 AM for a brief rehearsal before the service.
Special Events
Each year, the choir presents a Cantata — this year’s event is scheduled for Sunday, December 6, with both morning and evening performances. The choir also participates in select community events throughout the year.
Flexibility matters
We know that life can be busy and being at church every Sunday isn’t always possible. We value flexibility. Travel, family commitments, work, and life happens!
There is also an option to participate in the Cantata only if a regular choir commitment isn’t the right fit.
What if I can’t read music?
Don’t worry! Members of our choir come with different singing experiences. Rote learning is part of our rehearsal time and practice tracks are available for home practice.
Come sing with us!
Most of all, PRC is about making music together, building community, and sharing in a welcoming and supportive environment. Whether you’re looking for a regular musical home or simply want to try singing with the choir for a season, we’d love for you to consider joining Park Royal Choir! All are welcome.
